Support of sustainable projects

The PHW Group also assumes social responsibility through the Heinz Lohmann Foundation. Since 1997, this non-profit-making foundation has concentrated on questions regarding the future of nutrition and eating habits and sees itself as forging a link between science, agriculture and the consumer.

A large proportion of its work lies in promoting scientific research in universities and institutes. The foundation supports graduate and post-graduate students researching subject areas within the scope of the foundation’s work and supports sustainable projects dealing with nutritional issues – for instance better food in schools.

Transparency in food production

The foundation regularly conducts consumer surveys on nutritional knowledge and commissions studies. Nutritional symposia initiated by the foundation offer a platform for communication with a view to sensitising consumers to present and future nutritional issues.
